How to Pitch

  • Easy Submission: Just send us an email from your blog’s domain with the subject line “Guest post pitch” at [email protected] – we’re here to help! We limit pitches to valid domains.
  • Your email must include
    • Three topic suggestions with keywords, keyword difficulty and search volume
    • Your website/blog URL
    • 3 related writing samples which demonstrate the topics and quality of the posts that you intend to submit.
  • Response Time: We’ll get back to you within 3-4 business days. If you don’t hear from us, feel free to reach out to other publications.

Topic Selection

  • Topic: If the topic you suggested doesn’t work for us, we’ll provide a topic that fits our readers’ needs and aligns with our blog’s focus on SEO and marketing. This way, you can dive right in without worrying about topic selection!
  • SEO Optimization: We expect your article to be optimized for search engines to help it reach the right audience. Please incorporate relevant keywords naturally and use headings, lists, and other formatting techniques to improve readability and SEO.

Crafting an Engaging Headline

  • Stand Out Titles: Give us 3-4 catchy and SEO-friendly headline ideas. Remember, a little intrigue goes a long way, but don’t overdo it. We want clever, not clickbait.

Structuring Your Article

  • Keep it Classic: We like a well-organized flow – intro, body, and conclusion with a clear call to action.
  • Add Visuals: Ideally, add 2-3 images or screenshots for every 1,000 words, with links to sources.
  • Reference Sources: Link to trusted sources (> DR 70) for any data or research you include, and add a link to at least one relevant post on our blog. We allow one do-follow, non-promotional link in the content.
  • Promotional Links: Please note that promotional links will be removed from the content and we don’t link to home or product landing pages.
  • Length: Aim for 3,000 to 3,500 words to provide a thorough, valuable read for our audience.
  • Author bio: We will be publishing the article in our name.

Formatting Tips

  • Headlines & Sections: Capitalize each word in your headline (except for short words like “in” or “at”). For sections, only capitalize the first word.
  • Subsections: Use bold for subsections within each main section.
  • Images: We’ll handle the cover image, but please include any supporting images with your article, formatted as described below.

Image Guidelines

  • Image Quality: Images should be at least 800px wide, saved in .jpg format, and optimized for web (between 60-80 quality). Each image file should be under 250KB to keep load times fast.
  • Descriptive Names: Use descriptive file names with dashes, like “SEO-tips-for-agencies.jpg.”

Grammar & Style

  • Language: Use fluent American English. Refer to The Writer’s Style Guide or The Chicago Manual of Style if you need guidance.
  • Tone: Keep it friendly and clear, with a touch of humor where appropriate. Our readers want useful, engaging insights – aim for practical examples and tips whenever possible.

Submitting your article

  • Proofread: Double-check for typos and make sure everything aligns with these guidelines before submitting.
  • Plagiarism: Your article must be original, please check for plagiarism and ensure that your article hasn’t been published anywhere else.
  • Submit:
    • Send us the final article as a Google doc no more than three weeks after your topic is finalized.
    • Send us the images in a ZIP file along with the submission of your Google doc.
    • If these instructions are not followed, we’ll have to ignore your submission.

After You Submit

  • Editorial Standards: We maintain the highest editorial standards and will review each article carefully for logic, style, and accuracy.
  • Revisions: We may suggest edits to keep everything clear and consistent.
  • Publishing: Please give us two weeks to review and edit your article after submission.
  • Email: Will will send you a courtesy email once your article is published. If you don’t hear from us, it indicates that we’ve rejected your submission.
